ABBY KIMBALL
Dr. Abigail Kimball has been inspiring and guiding voice students in the East valley since 2008. She loves helping students discover their unique voices and build the confidence to shine as performers. Currently, she serves as an Adjunct Professor at Grand Canyon University and offers private voice lessons at her studio in Chandler, AZ.
Active in the Arizona voice community, Dr. Kimball previously served as the VP of Membership for the Arizona Chapter of the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS) and continues to be an engaged member. She also serves as the Music Director at Chandler Presbyterian Church, directing seasonal popup choirs for kids, teens, and adults, organizing community singing events, and performing weekly as the vocal soloist with the praise team.
Dr. Kimball has enjoyed an illustrious performance career, with notable roles in Suor Angelica and The Threepenny Opera in Freiberg, Germany. She has performed extensively with Arizona State University's Lyric Opera Theater and was nominated for an AriZoni Award for her role as the narrator in The Rocky Horror Show. Her latest Doctoral recital featured the music of Kurt Weill, and she was an understudy for Mama Cass in Phoenix Theatre's Dream a Little Dream. On the classical side, she recently performed as the soprano soloist in Vaughan William's Mass in G Minor for double choir.
Dr. Abby Kimball holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice Performance from Arizona State University, where she studied with Judy May. She recently attended an inspiring conference at Shenandoah University for Contemporary Commercial Music, further equipping her to teach all styles of singing. Dr. Abby Kimball loves sharing her knowledge and passion for music and is available as a soloist for concerts and special events, in addition to her teaching engagements. Dr. Abby Kimball has been teaching voice lessons in the Phoenix valley since 2008. She greatly enjoys helping her students find their own unique instruments and build confidence to release the performer within. She is an Adjunct Professor at Grand Canyon University and Mesa Community College. She also teaches voice lessons at her private studio in Chandler, AZ.
Active in the Arizona voice community, Dr. Kimball is VP of Membership for the East Valley Chapter of the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS). She currently enjoys serving as the music director for Chandler Presbyterian Church, where she directs the Sanctuary Choir and serves as the featured soloist each week.

Blessed with an incredibly beautiful voice, Abby’s singing has an air of effortlessness which only comes from having a solid technique. Abby’s voice is special not only for its beauty of tone but also for its expressiveness and versatility. Her musical sensitivity, perfect diction and fine musicianship make her a true vocal artist.
